Although these may be fun, at-home remedies, nothing beats a trip to your dermatologist or esthetician to help and prevent skin challenges. Don’t wait to visit the professionals, but in the meantime, have fun playing professional in the confines of your own home.
For moisturizing:
To create your own beautiful and effective moisturizer, combine one cup of oil (such as almond or avocado) with half-cup of beeswax in a pot. Heat the combination over low heat, until melted. Then, add the contents of about three capsules of Vitamin E. Pour the contents into a clean jar. If you really want to recreate the spa experience at home, add a drop or two of essential oil for a luxurious application. Ultra Benefits moisturizer uses triple-advantage, medical-grade ingredients to prevent premature aging while brightening and firming radiant skin.
Acne treatment:
Tea tree oil has great antiseptic properties and is fantastic in calming acne due to its anti-inflammatory nature. You can find it at Whole Foods or at other home remedy or organic stores. Combine about a drop of tea tree oil with half a cup of water or milk. Use a cotton swab or gauze to apply to the face for five to 10 minutes. Rinse off and follow with a toner, moisturizer, and sun protection (if done during the day). The Overnight Spot Treatment uses a pharmaceutical blend of sulfur, salicylic acid, and calamine to calm down inflammation in breakouts and clear them away.
For Exfoliation:
Apply a physical facial exfoliant (something with perfectly round granules) all over a cleansed face prior to entering the shower. Emulsify with a bit of water so it’s not too harsh. Now the only thing you need is steam to ensure that it penetrates the layers of your skin and fully cleanses your pores.
Take a steamy shower and let the exfoliant work with the steam! Don’t rinse off until you’re ready to get out. Follow up with appropriate facial products (toner and moisturizer) and enjoy baby-soft skin! The Papaya Mint Enzyme Scrub is jam-packed with antioxidants and enzymes that work to clear away dead skin cells and leave even the most sensitive skin feeling fresh and clean.
